This was posted on gavsv, GA's high school message board. Is it true? Who knows, but it is out there. A large majority of players from Carver, Columbus either don't pan out or have major attitude problems.

For All You Who Think Isiah Crowell is God ...
I wasnt going to put this out there, but I decided to. Heres an article from, someone in the football program at UGA, I will not mention his name nor is his name mentioned in the article due to personal reasons, because this news isnt official to the media yet. But he sent me this article he wrote that has leaked out on the internet too. This was written right before the SEC championship last weekend.

ps. i apologize for the cussing but I put it out there exactly how it was written.

Bye bye crowell
he's used up his 9th life. Everybody knows he came in as a primadonna, had some attitude problems, whatever. All that seemed to be fine for a while but apparantly it's rearing its head again. That's the reason Richt was mum on the RBs yesterday, because he was flat out fed up with IC. According to those in the know, he acted like a little bleep in practice yesterday and said his ankle was hurt (although he practiced full go mon and tues), so put himself in the green jersey, but didn't want to do what everyone else in green has to do (work out or whatever).

This isn't an isolated incident and coUaches and teammates alike have just about had enough. I still expect him to play Saturday, but at the rate he's going and what people are saying it wouldnt' shock me if he doesn't make it to spring. He's used up his last mulligan and I don't really know if he has the brainpower to keep his head on straight.

Everything I've heard from my friends in Columbus (including a couple of high school coaches in that number) is the kid is straight thug. And I often hesitate to use that word.

Yep; figured ya'll would have problems there. The kid either grows up Saturday in what our Dline calls 'the jungle' or you need to unload him. He'll hurt you long-term.

Doesn't take much to make Crowell quit. I don't think the kid has played an entire game all season. Plays like a little bleep if you ask me and the laughs it up on the sidelines.

I believe Keith Marshall signs with UGA and starts from Day One. Everything I hear and read about Marshall sounds positive. UGA should do it and not look back.

This is all rumor but here' a post from someone supposedly in the know...

quote:

The seniors, lead by Ben Jones, have had at least 3 violent "chats" with Crowell about his skipping class, being late for therapy, cursing GA's, Coach BM, Professors, other players, and a team Doc.

IC smells like weed about 90% of the time, his clothes reek of ganja, his room stinks like a Kingston traffic cab, and he is glassy eyed in the few classes he attends.

there are reports he is not passing any classes, at all, none, despite all the tutors that he tries to intimidate and fight.

CMR is aware and is sick of the punk. IC's teammates want him gone. McGarity wants him gone.

Some players say it is almost impossible for Crowell to be eligible for spring ball.

Not groundbreaking, but the more I hear from different people that this kid is a problem, the more I start to believe it

Crowell has been our Da'Rick Rogers this year. The post has some truth to it but some of it is overblown. Yes, there has been incidents with Crowell. There's even been a few face to face showdowns with some of our leaders. Crowell has to grow up and quickly.

Insider, if Carver ever had a coach that got the best out of his team, they would win the state championship every year. The talent that comes out of Columbus is unbelievable. So are the attitudes of that talent.

The same can be said about Stephenson High in Stone Mountain, GA. They are loaded with SEC talent every year and never seem to do anything with it.

I like the coaches at Carver-Columbus. The thing about their players is that there's so many influences outside of their school that seems to have an effect on the players attitudes. Remember their DB this year that broke into the UGA locker room and stole from current UGA players. The Carver coaches do a good job but there's only so much they can do.

I think the 'bye bye Crowell' story started on Dawgpost. There's some drama queens on that site. Some of the things in the article are not that far off but alot of it is overblown.

good thing he didn't come here, knoxville media would already be reporting his suspension and has already spread his cancer across three states.
