Where do we need to see improvement and maybe make some staff changes?

For me it's O-line, linebacker, and secondary. I think our rushing stats look good because of our running backs .. but on 3rd or 4th&1 we've come up short too many times this year. I think we're good on pass protection and our running backs have made us look good in the ground game.

Defensively, we've been exposed by any QB that can run, and that falls on linebackers and DBs... At times our coverage is excellent and at times we make average QBs look like superstars. I think tonight the linebackers struggled but against UK it seemed more of a DB issue. Frankly, I don't understand why we don't have more depth at linebacker in year 3 but maybe that's just me.

I'll note that having Pilli, McDonald, Hadden and Carter out tonight really hurt.. Arguably that's 4 of our top 5 or 6 guys on D. Should we expect more at this point or would you expect us to struggle with those absences? I kept hearing about how depth was better this year on D.. other than Dline I'm not seeing it.

How many of our struggles tonight were personnel issues and how much were coaching decisions or player performance? Presumably these are some of the same questions Heup is asking tonight so we should probably do the same.

Wideout - depth is bad
O-line - even worse
Linebacker - young/lack of depth
Secondary - like the freshman there

Gotta look at making a few changes to the coaching staff at this point.

I like Heuple but if he doesn't let some of his friends go, he will soon be on the hot seat.
8--4 next year may lose some of his supporters.

If you look at the results this year, we have not beaten a good team yet. Losing to
Ga and Bama is expected for another year or two, but if we continue to lose to
the Fla, S.C. and Mizz., then something has to give. Must start with the asst coaches that
have been his long term buddies.

Our players lost that game. That is all.

Funny that no one mentions how we are still not recruiting with a full complement of scholarships… It is hard to have depth at any position if you have to rely on walk-ons.

What position are we starting or giving significant playing time to a walk on? Name the position and the player.

Most of our skill position players are young players. Got a couple of talented freshman at LBer, some talented freshmen at WR, got Gibson at CB that looks good as well. End of the day we have a few talented players on this team but it’s not nearly enough game ready talent. Coop going down before Florida loses that game for us. We still could’ve lost but it’s a game at least then instead of a loss. Herring being on the field last night gave us zero chance of beating Missouri as well.
