I, for one, hope we hire the right guy here. I keep hearing people say they want a "here and now" type guy who can patch things up for this class. While I think it's important to hold on to recruits, that shouldn't be the main priority.
We have to learn from mistakes, because that's exactly what we did last year. I want it to be guy who will stay committed to the program and a guy who has proven himself before. Even if it means we lose a few (or a dozen) of our current recruits and win 6 games next year, I want to see a guy hired for the long-term.
We've got to be willing to take a hit here for these next few weeks and even the next year, but it will turn out better down the road that way.
