Liberty hiring Chadwell

Interesting fit. The Tiel cocks are gonna be pissed. Freeze brought in some tall lanky big dudes. Chadwell seems to like them smaller. Looking forward to seeing what he can do with bigger dudes.

He went from making $900k to over $4 million a year. That’s a no brainer.
And unlike Freeze, he’s not been a hot name for AD’s (not talking about fans) during their coaching searches. Maybe he stays awhile.

Totally parellel move by Jamie Chadwell
Don’t know much about Liberty but hear big money is there and they’ve improved their facilities really well

Too bad, this is the building of a new uprising program but these type of places are going to be extinct with these new changes going on.

Chadwell missed his window two years ago to go to a bigger job. Now he’s having to follow the reformed-degenerate-Freeze model to get there.

With all the construction and real estate slush funds in play at Liberty, their NIL has potential to be potent, if they choose to use it instead of it all getting pocketed by their shell companies doing the massive construction projects on campus.

With all the noise about Chadwell, this is underwhelming. The money sounds BIG though. LU may be one of the lowest pressure jobs in CFB if Chadwell can continue Freeze's level of recruiting.

They are in the middle of nowhere with a captive audience and advertisers who all step over themselves to back the school. They should have a respectable NIL system. They are still a work in progress, but they are definitely on the way up. Definitely in the top half of all of college football, which is not a bad place to be for them right now.

You have to give the admin credit for putting $$ into not just having a football team, but being good and competing at the P5 level.

They were willing to pay huge money to keep Freeze. They put a lot of money into facilities, and not just for football. They have their own hockey facility that is one of the nicest in the country. They are doing everything they can to make their athletic department premier. If money alone gets it done, they will get somewhere. And keep it mind, that school is not even yet 50 years old.

Too bad we can’t trade Vandy for Liberty if we had to keep our token private school. Better competition, better facilities and better give a damn factor.

They join conference usa next year.and there will be 2-3 G5 teams in the expanded playoff beginning 2024. They may be a playoff team before Vols are.

I'm honestly surprised Ian McCaw didn't hire Art Briles. Phi Montgomery was just fired at Tulsa so Art could bring him along as OC and Ian, Art and Phil could put the band back together and kick butt.

Art is never coaching college football again, so you shouldn't have been surprised.

And he's getting a major upgrade in facilities and prestige. If expansion happens again, Liberty could be next in line for a P5 spot (I'm thinking Big 12). Coastal Carolina is not getting that. Plus Chadwell does well he will get an upgraded job.

Chadwell to Liberty was not on my Bingo card. Figured he might have gone to Cincinnati, GA Tech, etc. Nothing against Liberty, just surprised me. Good job and pays very well.

For whatever reason, P5 teams don’t believe in him. This is a chance for him to upgrade and in 2-3 years get his P5 chance at a well established place

Good move for Chadwell. I thought he was going to go to the Gamecocks before they hired Beamer.

I think he'll do well at Liberty and be in line for a big P5 job. He did a heck of a job for a school like Coastal to be successful.
