Things are getting tense so I had a thought this morning. If you were asked to give a speech to the guys on Friday night, what would you say?

Nobody other than a few fans, your parents, and the men in this room thought you would have had the success you have had this year. You've been slighted in the polls, sometimes questioned by your own fanbase, dissed in the regionals selection, but you are here. You represent a lot of people this weekend. The UT fans who have almost given up on UT sports. The players who have worn this uniform in year's past. Your families who have given so much time, energy, and money to help you be sitting here today. And most of all yourselves. The Road to Omaha begins today. You have a unique opportunity to represent a great group of people who proudly wear the UT orange. There can be no letdowns out there today. No matter the score, we have won more come from behind games than anyone this year but we have also won a lot of games where we led the entire game. Go out there today and play your best. Be ready whenever your name is called to give it your all. Winning a National Championship in baseball is harder than any other college sport but today you get the opportunity along with only 63 other teams to have a chance. Do your best and enjoy the moment. We win a National Championship one game at a time. Today is game 1.

the only thing I'd add is at the end, "and by the way, I'm here for the long haul, and let's start today, the postseason DYNASTY!"

Idk. Game 60 something into the season, I don't think you tweak anything you're doing incentive wise. Guys know what's on the line. Play loose and have fun.

I bet our high roller donor could have an inspirational speech. Just win 17 World Series in a row, one of which should be in MLB, and you will get hot water in the locker room.
