Lights Out

Personally, I think this response is right on target. If LA is boycotting AZ and doesn't want any of their services, then there's no reason why electricity shouldn't be included in that boycott.

It will be interesting to see how all the "pro-boycott" pundits who are claiming boycotts are free-market capitalism in action react to this threat. I'm guessing goose and gander will be viewed differently.

They dont have a hair on their balls if they dont cut the power to L.A.. Watch and see if Washington doesn't get involved and sides with all the Libs in L.A.. It would be refreshing to know that Sean Penns lighted statue of Hugo Chavez, lay silent in the dark.

Arizona should start offering illegals free bus rides to LA. Just have a fleet of buses right there on the border.

What the guy said in an interview was that if LA was serious about not buying from AZ, he would help them cancel contracts with AZ power providers. He didn't claim he would stop selling power (since it's not his or his organization's) to sell.

In short, he was challenging them to go all in or quit grandstanding.

I like it.

I wonder who has more money to lose in this deal. Taking a guess, I would imagine that AZ utilities make a lot more money off LA than AZ does off LA business. But I'm sure the utilities could find another buyer.

Instead of boycotts, why don't LA just take in all of the illegals from AZ? Thats who they are really concerned about anyway. Right?

Just smack talk. He can't do what he's threatening.

This guy was on Cavuto's show yesterday and he was saying that he can't cut the power off to them, but they are suggesting to L.A. that if the are going to wage a true boycott then they should dent usage of Arizona's power. There is a contract between L.A. and Arizona.

Yep - it's about going all in; if you are going to boycott don't just cherry pick - take the good with the bad.
