There have been server issues. Freak was faced with either having to raise the already high price charged for site membership or remove essential functions like the "like" button.

Other posts in other forum sections indicate it is a temporary thing. Of course, that was the story around the PM function a few dozen months ago, too.

Now, now... like button <> PMs. Someday, it's priority will come, and the like button will return. PMs were turned off due to member abuse and the complaints which followed. For one, I wish it were not so. I would PM to meet up with VN pals, conveying info which I will not post in a public forum. Thank the unrestrained VNsters for that one.
