I bet Coach K is the only coach in America that has a problem with Barack Obama taking 20 minutes out of his day to fill out a bracket. And I'm sure he's the only coach that would say something publicly.

The man is ticked that Obama dissed his Blue Devils and picked UNC to win it all. Actually, it all goes back to when Obama scrimmaged with the Heels last year during the primaries. I'm sure K didn't like that either. Anyway, that's the real story of why K is pissed.

Does anyone think Kiffin would have kept silent if Obama picked against Tennessee in a bowl game?

Or how about Coach Pearl for that matter?

Well, Coach K did restore USA basketball to its rightful place.

Right now, that counts for more than whatever Obama has done for the country.

Or maybe the fact he is a die hard republican.

Picking UNC most likely didn't help, though.

Maybe Coach Eyechart should concern himself with getting past the Sweet 16 for a change.

Good Lord Coach K... shut up!

The less he concentrates on the economy... the less damage he's likely to do.

I don't like coach K as much as most everyone, but that is a ridiculous comment to make about a coach that has won 3 NCs and has the highest winning % in the NCAA tournament

I've came to the conclusion you really don't like anyone outside of maybe five Coaches.
Why, because I point out the absurdity of a pompous megalomaniac like K telling the President how to spend his time? News flash, K: You coach guys in short pants to throw an inflated piece of leather through a hoop. That doesn't make you William F. Buckley.

That winning percentage has done K every bit as much good in the last 4 NCAA Tournaments as Fulmer's did for UT football recently.

Watch ESPN and you can catch the quote
Coach K, didn't say it in malice, he was joking around

but he does have a point Hussein, should have better things to do than mess around with Andy Katz, filming a bracket segment

Like what? Clearing brush off his ranch? Reading to 2nd graders who are smarter than him? Oh, that was the last guy.

As I posted in another thread, I'm so glad Coach K is now judging what our president does with 7 minutes of his free time. Cause helping promote communist China with your gold metal basketball team so much more important than actually recognizing that they contantly break world laws and commit genocide. Tibet praises you Coach K, for realizing what's important and helping promote the Chinese way. God Bless that great U.S. American.

Honestly, that's an even worse reason. Why bring politics into it? Maybe he was trying to be funny, but it seems like an unforced error on his part. No big deal. He's still a great coach.

I would say the reporter who asked the question knew what kind of response he was going to get from K. And now MSNBC, CNN, etc, etc are eating it up.
