Anyone watch it? Original programming on Netflix about a mob guy in the witness protection program that chooses Lilyhammer, Norway. Kinda drama, kinda comedy with some Entourage thrown in (everything always seems to work out in each episode)

I'm about 6 episodes in - worth watching but not great.

I'm about 4 episodes in and I like it a lot. My big complaint is the subtitles. I like to watch Netflix while I game and I don't know Norwegian.

Thanks for the info. I've been debating on whether to add this. Trying to find something to watch until season 2 of House of Cards.

First episode was good enough. I'm going to try a few more. Saw a commercial about a month ago and was surprised I'd never heard of it. Thanks for mentioning it.

I like it - the Norwegian characters are a collection of oddballs. My complaint is that it is a bit too simplistic with the schemes that always work out.

Overall though I'll work my way through the first season.

Geir (Elvis) has a bit of Steve Buscemi in him and the Chief of Police has horrible, horrible teeth

Seen the first two episodes. Not blowing my socks off, but I'm usually a fan of anything that doesn't fit any particular genre. Definitely some nice black comedy type stuff.

I really liked the 2nd season. The Norwegian guys are so funny. They commissioned a 3rd season.

It's the Sopranos (mob) meets Northern Exposure (quirky ways of the Norwegians) meets Entourage (every thing always works out at the end of the episode).

Plus I love the digs at multiculturalism and socialism.
