I liked them way back when on their first couple of albums but I don't see this working out too well. The last few albums completely sucked, especially the last one and I think most people had their feel of nu metal rap rock in the 90's.

Honestly, nothing surprises me anymore, it could be released and no one notices or the kids will love it, afterall Wes is back for like the 17th time.

If Black Eyed Peas and Taylor Swift can sell a billion albums than so can Fred.

Durst had got into directing some low budget movies apparently that didn't go too well.
When Three Dolla Bill Yall came out, it was some of the best music out there in the late 90's, after that they lost me. I always have hope but odds are against them in creating that magic again.

It was fresh back then but it seemed to die out. The other bands that tried the rap rock from Kid Rock, Linkin Park or POD had to either change their style or they died out. Hell, even Papa Roach was trying to sing before they died out.

I always liked Wes Borland because he was a local Nashville guy so I hope it works out for them. YIKES!!! THAT CREEPY PRISTIQ COMMERCIAL JUST CAME ON!!!

Hah dont become depressed or you are doomed to having a wind up doll that looks like you following you around.
Yeah Nu Metal as it was known was basically a phase. Only band to me that rose above this genre was one of my favorite bands of all time The Deftones who have had some big hits but always flew under the radar and redefined their sound through each album. Out of all those bands, even including Korn i think Deftones defined themselves as groundbreaking artist who just made good music that's beyond being categorized as a certain genre.

i will admit that even with the cheesy lyrics and other gimmics that i was a pretty big fan of theirs when they were all over the place.....and still am to a certain extent. wes borland is still probably one of my favorite guitarists.

I had a lot of fun when Limp Bizkit came to Knoxville a few years ago. Of course, that was in the height of their popularity, and it was before the terrible Hot Dog Water album.
Still, I seriously doubt that a new record will be anything worth listening to.

Chino blew out his vocal chords a while back so he does sound a little rough. I always went to their shows more for the energy and atmosphere personally.

Seems like we all had this same convo on another thread roughly a year ago.
