Jordan still not living up to potential if that's the case. I am sure he will be a good 6th man, but his potential should have him starting imo.. Don't get me wrong, I am very high on this team and maybe Jordan will be starting by mid season, just thought he could do better. It could also be that Martin knows he does better when he has to prove himself.

McBee starting is conditional. He gets the nod out of respect for being the senior.
He's always been great in practice but takes a step backwards when he hits the court.
McRae and Edwards will both be starters eventually.

WRONG - McBee brings hustle, defense and perimeter shooting. He may not be the quickess guy out there, but he brings fierceness which is what CCM loves

Agree, think by SEC play those 2 are starting, or atleast playing starter minutes.

Hustle? Yes. Defense? Eh. Permiter shooting? Decent for a specialist.

If McRae shows hustle, and committment to defense he will be a starter, or get the starter minutes over mcbee IMO.

Unless he's hitting 50-60% on his open looks, there's too much talent sitting behind him.
Like to see it, but my guess he's a spot player going into conference play.
You like fierce? Keep an eye on Q this season. Fierce with talent.

I'm excited to see him early in the year, will get some good minutes with maymons injury, Edwards as well.

Really think Q is gonna show something with this chance, he has that scariness of mcbee, but is a much bigger more athletic body, and he can shoot.

McBee? He might hustle but its nothing impressive. He simply can't defend athletic SG. He doesn't have the lateral speed to stay in front. I thought McRea would be the clear choice to start. He seems to have the length and speed to shut down a perimeter player. Im not sure what he's like offensively but he seems too athletic not to start.

We've all been waiting on McRae...he has probably the most potential outside of jarnell, but simply hasn't put it together. All signs from practice are he's shown a lot of improvement with consistency and he's added some weight to his frame...my guesss is this, CCM wants him to prove it in a game before he awards him a spot...go out there and give me 5 or 6 consistent games and then well talk about it, JMO.

Like to see a Barkley JR without the cheese burger problem.

Wonderful, another McBee debate. He's seen consistent minutes since he was a freshman coming in as a relatively unrecruited high schooler. Coaches love him, fans wonder why a white kid from bfe is playing a significant role on their bball team. I guess perception is greater than reality. All someone has to do is take his minutes away from him. Seems like people on here expect him to roll over and hand over his spot to someone that had a few recruiting stars beside their name in high school. Jordie probably got better over the summer...doesn't mean Skylar didn't improve too.

You're right when it comes to lateral speed. Although ive seen him take a fair share of charges for the team. I think the word everyone is looking for is tenacity

....must be the magic stache

Dude, your avi is Tyler Smith's mugshot. I probably shouldn't like it, but I do.

There are many subtle things on the court in the game of basketball. CCM knows them. That's why Mcbee continues to start. That's why Mcrae is in his jr year and can't crack it yet. That's also why we are screwed with Hall starting and barely an ncaa tourney team if he gets a lot of minutes.

he doesn't have the continues motor to stay focused on the defensive end. Hustling through a couple of picks doesn't matter much if you give up easy buckets when you lapse.

Mcrae's biggest hurdle IMO. Mcbee hustles his ass off. Both get beat a lot on defense, but Mcbee's issue is lack of quickness, Mcrae's is lack of effort. CCM prefers lack of quickness over lack of effort.
