Oh come on guys. I know he is good but think, Rick Clausen would look electric against a Juco Team as well.

i think they did him dirty...jason respert got into trouble the summer before he got here and managed to turn around. the key to the whole thing is giving an 18 year old time to mature. it's funny that this season many people are saying about ainge is the same thing said about schaeffer last season. why is it ok to make excuses for a sophmore when the same excuses didn't work for the other guy as a freshman... and to top it all off, UT is looking for a mobile qb in '06. :good: phil dropped the ball on that one.

His problem:

1. Immature

2. Did not want to learn (as in go to class, learn and participate)

We'll be fine with someone else.

-the same could be said for gerald riggs(a senior).  riggs reformed and is now one of the best rb's in the sec.  if ainge looses out to crompton, i'd imagine similar stories coming up about him.

We'll be fine with someone else.
-more than likely we will be, but it was still silly to give up on the guy.  That being said, if he didn't want to be here then thats a another story

You know what? I could give a rip where he is or what he is doing. Didn't have it in him to keep his act together and do the right things or he would be the starter today for the Vols.

Since that wasn't his priority, I could care less if he ever plays again.

i just think it's funny that people attack that kids character instead of just saying...UT did not want him here as a QB or he left for the opportunity to compete for a starting QB role, not return punts and catch screen passes...i hope he does well.
