Here is the plan. List your twelve (or fewer) favorite songs that came out in 2012. List them in no particular order. When it appears that most people have cast their votes, I'll go through and rank all the tracks according to the number of times they were listed. Simple as that.

I'll start this show:

Fun. -- Some Nights
Lumineers -- Ho Hey
John Mayer -- Walt Grace Submarine Song
Metric -- Clone
Passion Pit -- Carried Away
Beach House -- Irene
Imagine Dragons -- Underdog
Big Boi -- Shoes for Running
Azealia Banks -- 212
Santigold -- The Riot's Gone
Alabama Shakes -- Hold On
MIKA -- Lola

Last one cut:
Divine Fits -- Like Ice Cream

Not the strongest hip hop year, but one of the strongest music years across the board that I've seen in some time. I honestly can't recall the last year that matched 2012 in terms of quality music. Would have to give it some thought.

I did think the Big Boi album was several shades of awesome.

I support 4/5 of this post. All these songs must be included.

Muse - Madness
Black Keys - Little Black Submarine
Black Keys - Gold on the Ceiling (El Camino was actually released Dec 2011, but I say these are 2012 tracks)

Those were big, in commercials and everything. Then my favorite tracks, that were also mainstream hits, I'd have to think about for a while...

Lumineers - Ho Hey
Imagine Dragons - Radioactive
Grouplove - Tongue Tied (Came out mid 2011, but didn't reach #1 on Billboard Alt Songs until mid 2012)
Grouplove - Colours (No justification other than I liked it better than tongue tied)
