If you think that right now is crazy, just wait until January after all the EE's get in school. This will be the wildest NSD ever, IMO. If you don't have the stomach or the patience to see where we end up, then I would suggest following the NBA or something. Recruiting, dynamically, is one of the toughest things to follow that I have ever tried to. It's a challenge in itself to keep up with who is going where and how interested people are in your school. That's why I love it so much and follow it as closely as I can. So, get over decommitments, they are going to happen. Stop being pissed and being immature about a 17-18 year old picking a new school over ours, because there is nothing you can do about it. Enjoy the ride VN faithful, I know I am. :hi:

I agree Eric. These wannabe fans that like Tennessee when we are doing good on the field and in recruiting but are negative nellies when something bad happens make me sick. Go root for bama u punk losers

Exactly. Enjoy the ride and hope for the best. I think this staff will develop any player they come across, whether they are a JC, transfer, one star, or 5 star player will make little difference in how they are coached.

Well we just got some more bad news, I'm ready for some good news. Its nice to win some small battles along the way. Recruiting is the only thing that make it possible for me to stand a 3-4 season so far... otherwise I'd have gone crazy by now! Why do these guys commit if they aren't sure? It just sucks as a fan of the school I feel like every kid should want to be here but we have to remember we aren't recruiting Tennessee fans, We are recruiting Texas fans, Oklahoma fans, Georgia fans, USC fans, and Florida fans... and so on and so on.... our staff can do it if any can though so lets get it!

I agree, we certainly picked up some nice recruits last season who decommitted from other schools last season (#11), it happens, no big deal

I agree. It's still way too early. People need to chill out. We'll be fine.......trust me:eek:k: We did fine last year with just 2 months of recruiting under this staff.

we are still behind when it comes to 2010, a full year is still not as long as this staff would like to work on kids. I can only see our classes getting better and better until there is no place to go but down... however, we will just stay right on top!

The next few months recruiting will be nauseating with all the ups and downs. I suspect though, UT will come out better than we would dare to hope at this point.

With all the uncertainty that is recruiting it should be interesting to see who de-commits and commits in the next couple of months. Great post Eric.

I don't think any sane person is mad at Cobbs himself, just mad and frustrated at the decommittment. Just a normal knee jerk reaction. It's all under the bridge now, and I agree by NSD, he will be a far away after thought with the surprises we will pull. Best of luck to him at Texas or wherever he ends up.

If we can replace this loss with a taller stud WR or a blue chip OL guy, I will be more than happy.
