If by this you mean life saving medical attention for those under the age of consent? Yes. I think they administer the treatment irregardless of parent consent. No child should have to suffer or die because of some crazy belief by the parent.

If over the age of consent, it's not the governments business what each of us decide to do.

nice in theory....protection of a child from an adult that can not or will not do what is right for the child, IS necessary......We were a foster home for years and the absolute garbage, that are some parents in this country, the kids need protection.
