I need some help guys. My nephew ,who is 11, is a die hard UT fan (much to my chagrin) and absolutely loves the vols. His dream is to attend a game and get some signatures. I would love to take him to a game but he has cerebral paulsy and is confined to a wheel chair. Is there handicap seeting at the stadium and who would I need to talk to find out information. Thanks ahead of time you guys have always treated me with respect and I appreciate that.

Try one of these two numbers in the Ticket Office.
800-332-VOLS (8657) or 865-656-1200

They can direct you to the right office to take care of your needs.

A word of advice: As far as tickets to a game this year for handicapped, that's probably going to be impossible. But they can tell you the best time to mail your request for a game for next season.

I know there are some hadicapped areas for wheelchairs on some of the concourses but they're on a first come ticket based priority.

In other words, you couldn't pick up scalped tickets before a game and park your wheelchair there.

I'm almost certain that you can get a ticket for a single game, probably a non conference game, but probably too late for this season, and you will be allowed to seat one family member or friend in a folding chair beside the disabled person.

Fade, I don't know much about it, but I have seen people with wheelchairs sitting in the Stadium. So yes, they must have it. As for getting signatures, the Orange and White game is a great way to do that, but if you don't want to wait until next year, you might wanna try hanging out where the team comes out before the VolWalk. If you want more info on where that is, PM me and I'll get it to you....

It looks like if somebody made Fadeproof's request known, something could be done, considering the circumstances.

Fade, I have a contact with the PR department at East TN Children's Hospital in downtown K-town. (Not trying to break "confidentiality") Is he from here? If so, a patient at Children's?

Even if not, I might be able to help. Let me know ASAP and I'll get working on it. Let me guess, he wants the Georgia game, right? Oh, and there is DEFINITELY handicapped seating at the stadium.

Kiddie Doc, no he lives in GA and is a patient at Egelston Childrens Hospital. It doesn't even have to be a game he is really just a huge fan and I would love to do something special for him.

All of these answers are right on point. There are several areas for handicapped/wheelchairs. Your best bet is to go to the O/W game next spring, if you just want him to get in the stadium and get some signatures. A regular game doesn't seem to be quite as accomodating for this type of situation. Maybe 67 can work something out for you, though.

Nothing as of yet. I probably will not hear anything until early next week.
