in Southaven, MS. Not exactly the crowd I expected for Ole Miss-Southern Mississippi. Maybe they're just late arriving. If the Rebs win this one, they'll come to Knoxville undefeated to open SEC play.

The place is filling up nicely. I'll sign off for a while now. I don't want to break the 'AAs prohibition on live in game blogging.

When you come back, are you entertaining the idea of attending the Liberty Bowl before the Memphis/ Arizona game?

I agree with that. TMac and Yao aren't playing so if the Griz lose this one they might as well just lose the rest of them and hope for a nice bounce of the old ping pong ball. Well Yao isn't playing in a figurative sense.

Ming is playing. He got 3 early so they might have yanked him. I've been bouncing back and forth between the bowl game, the USC game and the Griz. And if those damn balls bounce any worse for us this year we should REALLY hang it up. :p

Good lord, I just got home from the game.Traffic SUCKED getting out. I think it was a good game myself. I would say about 5 mins before the game was over Ole Miss ran Southern Miss out of gas. Had a good time and so did the wife. Can't wait for the Memphis game now.

Were you sitting in the lower deck directly across from the Ole Miss bench? I saw someone in what appeared to be a Tennessee sweatshirt sitting in that area.

I was setting behide the Ole Miss bench. I thought i was the only one wearing anything UT. Folks were looking at me crazy, i didn't care. Me vs. 7,200 folks was the feeling i was getting..:)

I'm not sure I've ever seen a crowd of 7,000 plus all arrive at the same time. 30 minutes before tipoff, it looked like there were about 500 people there.

That was crazy. I walked in and i told my wife there are more people at the Memphis workouts when Cal has it open than was at the Desoto Civic Center. It seem like everyone showed up at the same time. Crazy
