Work may take me to Jacksonville in the near future. Anyone have any good advice on best places to live, etc.? My office will be on the south side of the city. I'm pretty sure I'd like to live near the beach vs. the city, but I'm open to hear opinions.

Thanks!

Sounds like work would be in the Bay Meadows area, IIRC. If you go live at or near the beach, be prepared for a long commute with lots of stoplights on Atlantic or Beach Blvd. I haven't lived there for many years, though, so take it for what it's worth. I'm sure someone can give you more current info.

You're correct, I'll be near I95 in Baymeadows area. I should have quick access to Butler Blvd to head out towards the beach.

I'll be following this thread. I anticipate moving to Jacksonville within the next 5-10 years.

If your job is anywhere near either the Southside Blvd, Baymeadows or Butler Blvd exits, on the east side of I-95, your commute from the beach wouldn't be all that bad.
