It can get a whole lot worse. UF's current down period reminds me some of Alabama's down period in the 90s and early 2000s, except not quite as good.

Since 2011, they've had 5 seasons where they've lost at least 7 games. They've also had 4 seasons where they've won at least 10 games, won the SEC East 4 times, finished in the top 10 3 times, and won a couple of NY6 bowls. This time is probably better described as an up and down period.

The hope is that UF fires Napier for being bad and replaces him with another coach that is worse. If UF goes 6-6 next year, then he is most likely gone.

As an opponent, I am glad to see FSU on the rise. Hopefully Auburn, UCF, USF, and Miami will continue to improve which, I hope, will make the Gator recovery much more difficult.

FSU will take a serious step back next year. They tapped their NIL severely to buy this season. They’re basically replacing their entire starting offense, defense, and special teams.

Miami really underperformed what I thought they would be this season.

Auburn under Freeze will pull some talent that way also

Texas and Oklahoma now in the SEC will recruit well

Interested to see how UCF recruits being in their new conference.

Floridas 2024 schedule is BRUTAL

Could be a perfect storm for keeping them down long term

Wait until they go 4-8 next year.

Condolences in advance. Just for you though, the rest of Gator nation deserve it.

That schedule is brutal. I think 4 wins is likely, but that's still debatable, could be as few as 2 or 3. You'll whip Samford and Mississippi State though.

If you get 4 wins with the way your program is now, I'd say that's a success. I just keep looking at the schedule and shaking my head - they did you no favors at all.

UF might not win another football game in my lifetime.
