Heading up to Williamsport to watch the LLWS this year. Gonna catch a Pirates game on the way up. Anyone ever been to the LLWS? Any recommendations for things to do in the area or on the way? It’ll be the first time any of us have ever been. Looking forward to it.

@Freak you can remove this thread from the sports forum. Figured it’d gain more traction here.

Are you by chance going with the team from Goodletsville (assuming they win today) or are you just going to watch and experience it either way?? They spanked our team from GA yesterday and looked quite impressive doing it. My sister-in-law teaches in Watkinsville and was all excited when one of her students hit a grand slam on Sunday. I always look forward to watching the LLWS every year. It's a sure sign that college football is right around the corner!!

I hear you. I hope you have a great time! I'd love to do that as well one day...my two youngest boys are hard and heavy into baseball. I'll keep my fingers crossed maybe one of them will give me a good reason to go in the next 2 to 4 years. 😁
That was sad to hear about the coach from the NC Little League team who died suddenly on the plane ride back from Macon after their loss the other day.

Williamsport is a cool little town. Bullfrog Brewery, Boom City Brewing Co, and The Brickyard are the beer + regular food places I'd recommend. Franco's lasagna is amazing. Long Island Pizza is good because the owner is hilarious. And Alabaster has some of the best coffee I've ever had.
