I don't know, but I would like a picture of the one in the locker room... I do a little wood working and I'd like to make some.

I do drawings of about anything, I have free handed it over my bedroom/UT room doorway. I used different photos to guestimate size and scaled it down to look pretty good. Just havent been able yet to go back and complete it as a mural.

I wouldnt know where you could find any replicas, But volmanjr has a really good idea.

If anyone is able to find one, Give us a heads up..

Is that the "real deal?" And anybody know what the sign is made out of? (I'm going for as close a replica as possible)

I've called Houndogs and McMillans and they haven't a clue.

I have dibs on marketing this bad boy if anyone can produce it, so back off!

Perfecto. Thanks for the help. Of course, I still don't have one for my very own.

VMJ, tomorrow afternoon work for you? You make me a sign and I'll pay you back with a trip out on my new orange and white boat.

sounds like a plan! of course the nearest river (the Duck) is pretty shallow right now but we could run over to Tim's Ford lake.

VMJ: I've messed around with this a bit, and the font actually looks like MS Times New Roman bold italic. You can condense it maybe by a point or so and it's darn near perfect.

thanks doc, I've got my stencil ready, my next choice is do I recess the letters or have them raised? may try both... I'll post you a picture when I get them done.

I would think recessed letters would be easier and probably look better? Are you going for a "life-sized" representation? Just guessing from the picture (using the cinder blocks as a reference), I figure that sucker's about 8x24 inches.

not sure on the size yet , but the hat racks I used to make where in that neighborhood but more like 10x30, I made one for my Dad that had raised letters for the NC yr and it was much harder but it looked awesome (fancier script too)

10x30 would be sweet. I'm clearing a spot as soon as I get home. The doorway to my pub currently houses some generic "Volunteers Blvd" sign.
