I saw where you said you're a NASCAR fan, NC... you can redeem all of those unfortunate Florida and UNC qualities if you can claim to be an Earnhardt fan... :D

Outdebated??? Please, your only argument is the past Duke "busts," in the NBA. That, coupled with you obvious bias towards Duke basketball, caused by a pair of UNC horse blinders.

We can talk statistics, and how much J.J. Redick has improved & diversified his game since coming to Durham....but that wouldn't mean anything, because one again, you'd likely never except any facts....Just that he's gonna be a flop? I'm guessing you thought Sean May, Joe Forte, Ed Cota, Eric Montross, Brendan Haywood, and Rashad McCants would be all be studs in the NBA???

My post was a joke, seeing that Caroliona has more than it's fair share of Wal-Mart, bandwagon fans who have no connection whatsoever to the UNiversity, here in North Carolina...But I suppose sarcasm has no place on internet message boards. But a disgrace to my alma mater? For writing a simple, badgering joke in an abvious attempt at humor (albeit bad humor)? I'll go look for a scarlet letter to iron on to an orange T-shirt next time I'm in KNoxville, to show my true discraceful colors....

Give me a break.

And your argument is what? I didn't go to UNC or UF..nice stuff

And if you'd read the other thread pertaining to JJ I mentioned how much he's improved and developed his game...but..ask Langdon, Hurley, Avery, Dunleavy, Lang, Mcloud, Williams, etc...being a very good college player doesn't translate into the NBA.

But I suppose sarcasm has no place on internet message boards

Sure it does..I post alot of sarcasm..and they usually follow with simple smiling emotions :biggrin2: that let you know I am..how will anyone know if you are?

Just because you went to UT(for all we know) doesn't mean your opinion matters over anyone else's...I know several local people that went to Dook and wouldn't know the first lick about sports or basketball in general.

In the real world, and I'm pro-education, a degree is only as good as the person that receives it.FACT!

Injured at that...but what do you expect from an uneducated guess like that?

I mostly agree with your sentiments Gator, especially that Morrison will more than likely be the better prospect in the NBA, due to his height, in terms of rebounds and post presence...

BUT - without going back on the first page of the thread, and my laziness....I think you'd feel different about Redicks NBA possibilities if he only wore a different shade of blue. That's my argument, as weak as you may percieve it initially, I think you know it's true.

in all honesty, I hope he does well in the NBA, but as long as he helps beat the TarHoles (in possibly his last collegiate game against Carolina), and helps Duke move to 17 wins out of the last 20 games againt UNC, I'll be happy.

Vols Kick Balls - you're right, at this moment, that is an unfair assessment.

utfan- are you obsessed with the whole degree thing? I stated that it was a bad joke to start with? Do you suffer from some form of inferiority?

True I hate Dook..but I also dont think he'll be what most seem to think he'll be. I've seen too many high profile Dook players flop! I do however think in the right system he could be a quality 8 or 9 man...he is too small to guard the bigger 2 guards in the league and most his size are moved to the PG slot where he definitely will not be able to play.

but as long as he helps beat the TarHoles (in possibly his last collegiate game against Carolina), and helps Duke move to 17 wins out of the last 20 games againt UNC, I'll be happy.

Sure they'll win that game..did anyone think they'd actually lose to UNC this yr?? BTW, have you checked the numbers before this last streak?? Yeah, Heels won like 13 in a row before it...Dook will always be looking up to big brother..check out any stat you want! :devilsmoke:

It feels good to watch Carolina lose though....

Especially 16 out of the last 19 against their arch-rival.

Great recruiting class coming in for the Holes next year might even things up a bit....but for now, I'll enjoy seeing the Wine and CHeese crowd/Wagoneers down and out.

I know, I know.....2005 National Champions.....I know. :D

Series should definitely even out when UNC reloads...Dook loses 4 quality Sr veterens next yr but they'll reload as well. There will be some great games in the future...except the yrs the Heels leave for the NBA and the Devils stay for their moment of glory!

Seeing as how boring & saturated the NBA is, I'll take Duke players staying around until they graduate to continue beating Carolina year after year.

And I'll take the best of both worlds...UNC players winning more championships and watching them do a lil something in the NBA! :devilsmoke: BTW, how many Heels was that on the All Star team? :shades:

Easy killer, I remember you saying UNC would take at least 1 out of 2 from Duke earlier in the season.

Didn't they split at home last season?

A LOT has changed since then, but I hope they do it... I'm a fair weather hater when it comes to Duke and UNC, whichever one is having the bests eason, I hate them more that year. :D

yeah split last yr...could only imagine the team UNC would have had this yr if they all came back. Actually the team you see out there this yr will be the second team when next yrs class gets in...all but Hansborough.
