Looking at the box score, one thing is apparent, everyone has to play a great game to win on the road or against good competition. I'm not frustrated with it, it's just a fact.

Why did we lose by 14? Lofton only had 2 points, averages 16----hey that was what we lost by last night.

You have to applaud their defensive effort and the fact that they battled back to within a couple late in the game, but when your number one guy hits 1 shot well....

Shooting was bad in first half. That was difference. Couldn't buy a basket. In the second half the studder step on the fast break was a sign. All he had to do was go and lay it up but he balked. Kids were scared and off of it for one reason for another.

LSU shooting 76% in the second half didn't help much either. Or the 13 blocked shots and 43 rebounds. I agree though, Lofton hits his average and that's a close game.

But it's just one game and they still played really hard. Maybe we'll have an inspired game against Memphis or UF like we did Texas.

LSU is one of the more atheletic teams we will face. They are young and want to run and have big guys that can do it. UT had no answer for Glen Davis and Tyrus Thomas and it hammered them. Hitting a few open layups would have helped but when LSU gets going and they don't make the turnovers like they did in the 1st half, they can play with anybody. Darryl Mitchell sat for most of the game with foul trouble and they really didn't need him. Hopefully our guys coming in next year will give us this demension.

I agree 100%. They are what they are, and it's really a little unrealistic to expect anything else.
