im glad to see this, i have looked at his free profile and am intrigued by his prospects being 6-6 and 215 but with that big of aframe he could add weight to play many positions.

how high does this kid have us?

Not sure if he's really played much DE so he would probably be a project there. Looks like they have him at safety on the defensive side on his high school team. I would say he should stick to WR/TE.

EJAW is better QB wise IMO. Thomas can throw the deep ball but not much else. Doubtful either one will be at QB, but just an observation I picked up while watching videos.

Maybe his football skills are more developed than EJAW's were. It could also be the level of competition. Its not all about 40's and verts.

I agree with that. Looking at his video, he was running away from a lot of people. Put him in the slot or at TE. Instant mismatch:birgits_giggle:

thomas was impressed with his spring game visit. I think virginia leads for him but we're no worse than 3rd.

I would say our chances are around 10%. I don't think we are in that great a shape with him.

if this guy played TE, he would pretty much have the exact same kind of body as Florida's huge TE this past year.. I cant remember his name, but i do know he was a beast

I wouldn't mind having a TE fitting that mold!

Cmon Thomas.. Pick UT

Cornelious(sp) Ingram and I wouldn't mind having a player like that either. I hope EJAW becomes that player, but Thomas would be more than welcome.

I doubt we will get this kid but is an interesting prospect and would be a great get if we got him. Here is his evaluation:
"Evaluation
Few players possess Thomas' combination of size, versatility and playmaking ability. At first glance, he appears to be just an athlete playing quarterback, but extended views reveal a good passer who has enough tools to remain at the position. Has great size and a build similar to that of Terrelle Pryor. Could play wide receiver, H-back, outside linebacker and possibly defensive end. Has a long, smooth stride and very good speed for his size, but builds as he goes. Returns kicks, which is rare for a player who stands 6-foot-6. Shows some elusiveness and deceptive quickness and speed. Lacks ideal quick-twitch athleticism, but he's very difficult to bring down, especially after he builds momentum. Shows very good initial quickness and can escape pressure within the pocket. Has proven to be a good passer on the move. Has a good arm and flashes the ability to make all the throws. Can zip the ball into tight spots and appear very impressive when his feet are set. Shows very good touch on the deep ball. He isn't yet a crisp or polished passer. Frequently just wings it, and will spray the ball around a bit when he improvises. Shows more speed and reactive athleticism on defense than he does on offense. Flies around, plays effectively in space and can hit and tackle. Shows a lot of explosiveness in pursuit and is an excellent sideline-to-sideline runner for his size. Thomas is somewhat raw, but he's ultra-talented and could be an exciting player down the road. He just needs the right scheme and a good coaching staff that is willing to work with him."
