Logistical Questions for SC Game

Good morning, folks. I'm headed back to Knoxville for my first game since graduating in 03. Way overdue, and I'm really pumped. :dance2: A couple of questions- We're staying at the Marriott on E. Hill. We can walk to campus from there, right? My tickets are in X1, row 54. Decent view? I think I heard we switched sides a couple years ago, so I'm thinking we're going to be behind our bench, although to the far left side. Hoping to see the Vol Tron, though. Of course I've been to tons of games, but I know a lot has changed in the lasty 10yrs.

Does VolNation have any type of tailgate?

Is Vol Tron Marquez North's new nickname? :) If so, I haven't heard any bad news on him so you should be able to see him... :dance:

You're 1 row from the wall under the overhang. You should have a good view of the field but probably not the jumbotron

Good seats, my in laws have season tix in x3 row 20 something but I think you'll have to watch the flat screens under the overhang instead of the jumbotron.

Yes, you can easily walk to the stadium from the Marriott, and X1 is on the Vols side of the field.

Staying at a hotel at Cedar Bluff. Are there any shuttles from out that way to the game? No parking pass and I'd rather shuttle in if possible.

I believe if you go to uttix.com they have a nice little page where you can select your seat and see a picture of the view from said seat.

Thanks all. Any tips on where to go for drinks bf the game also appreciated. Don't know all the 'happening' spots now, but I assume anywhere on the strip will give me a beer bf noon. We used to hang out at Hanna's, Cool Beans and some place that served the orange equivalent to Fat Tuesday frozen drinks. Is O'charley's still around? Copper Cellar? If the rain holds off, it should be a great weekend for TN football.

And maybe I'm dreaming, but I thought the jumbotron was called the voltron, at least back then.

I'm not familiar with some of those, but I know Copper Cellar is there, and there are a lot of neat places on Market Square downtown also. If you haven't been downtown in a few years, a lot has changed there. The Downtown Grill and Brewery is nice, and not too expensive as compared to some others.
