A few observations..From a 49yr old life long fan..
Praise Peyton,HailTee..but this guy is gonna get an off campus road named after what he does this yr. Very humble , grounded, musician, God fearing, loves his Granny, have you heard a player tell you they were not who they thought they were? He self evaluated by looking at those around him.. he lights up talking about teamates, but not smiles when asked about him/good sign of self awareness and how to get better. This guy is a 23 yr old man that has endured more adversity and pressure than any of us fans could imagine. His ability to be to humble himself discussing his mental health after injury is a sign of a man and leader.. Not to mention his physical skills. No qb has that arm strength, this yr will prove he has it all.. Take off the Orange glasses, who and why would you not take Joe over anyone..? He stays healthy we go 9-3 min and he's 1st round..Richardson went 4th and was crap,10 or 11 wins he's top 5. 11 regular season wins and 35 tds and hiesman and number 1 overall? Sorry for length, I have more but figured yall was tired of my post.. lol

The highest praise and at the same time could be a criticism. Joe Milton is a much better human being than football player. If he wins the Heisman and is drafted overall 1 by the NFL that statement will still be true. Milton must be able to carry the offense like Hooker in the Swamp and in Bama. He must carry the team vs A&M and two time champion Georgia as well.

He is in the best spot in college football to do just that..Coach Hype will make it possible..On Joe,but after today..I see he is ready

I agree. He's in the best spot possible to walk off with the Heisman. If he puts a loss on Bama away, a loss on Florida away, and a loss on UGA at home, who doesn't vote for him for that award? That's not a pushover set of activities he as to get done to win it but it is doable for him and this team? Absoposilutely!

No criticism on Joe, but do you really think the narcissistic media will vote for a Tennessee player & actually give him the Heisman? They wouldn't even invite Hooker who was clearly better than any of the others. Look what happened to Peyton. I hope Joe just smokes the record books. A great person & QB. With our current recruiting TN is only going to get better.

The sportswriters are so biased, they probably already have their votes selected, either a Bama or Ohio St player. No one in sports got robbed like Peyton did in the Heisman vote back then.

I'm inclined to agree with OP. Joe Milton is charismatic and came across very well at media day.

Does anybody have the clip of Joe Milton silencing the locker room celebration to get everyone's attention for a second after the bama win last year? It was obvious in that clip he had the respect of the team and leadership qualities.

Milton will have video game numbers after the first two games, Virginia and Austin Peay. If he puts up good numbers in a win @FL Sep 16th, he'll get mentions as a dark horse Heisman candidate. If he manages to keep his numbers up the next three home games against UTSA, USCe, & aTm; he'll have legitimate Heisman buzz. Beat Bama on the road, he'll have real Heisman hype and be in everyone's top-5 list.

The media (espn) did screw Manning over, but some of you guys take this (media hates us) narrative too far. A few media talking heads started hyping Eric Gray up 2 games into 2020. They're not going to ignore the strongest armed QB in CFB if he's got the production.

One thing that doesn’t get mentioned a lot is that Joe has yet to throw an interception while at Tennessee. He was dialed in against Clemson and hit his deep balls. I think that is the Joe we see this season. I foresee something around a 3,000 yard regular season and 30/5 TD to INT ratio.

We’ll know after the Florida game where he’s at. Hope he has improved. Could have a massive year if so
The Swamp at night will be a huge test. I think it will be very telling to see how Joe handles it. I don’t we’ve ever seen him start a road game here.

Joe's going to have every opportunity to earn that respect and be a star. It's his show now. He did well in the bowl against a good team so hopefully that keeps up and overthrowing Joe doesn't return.

Boy, it is very hard to argue with this right here re: the heisman.

Jim brown is worst rob in Heisman history. Peyton is second. Ironically the same year Jim Brown got robbed, Johnny Majors also got robbed, and might be the 3rd worst
