"It's a static noise," Longshore recalled. "You can't hear anything. You go up and down the line and your running backs can't hear, your wide receivers can't hear, your tight ends can't hear. Nobody can hear. Nobody."

As the clock was winding down, Tennessee fans chanted, "SEC! SEC!" and "Over-rated! Over-rated!"

Said Longshore: "That stung."

:birgits_giggle:

"What I saw was outstanding team speed," Longshore said. "It's tough to pick that up on film. Sometimes you don't know what you're going to see."

Longshore picked up his travel bag and walked down a long corridor of Neyland Stadium, fans still peeking around the orange tarp that covers the players' exit from the field.

"SEC! SEC!," they chanted, still in his ear an hour after it ended.

"Four-and-a-half hours," Longshore said of the pending charter. "Too long."

Pac-10 just can't hang with an SEC team.....Unless you're USC and you play Arkansas.....The SEC was 2-1 against the Pac-10....The SEC is a better conference all together than the Pac-10 is

Had McFadden been healthy in this game I think the Hogs would have made it a nail biter.

Or, Arkansas isn't as good as some people thought they might be this year?

Arkansas might be good this year... but they're still not USC good, obviously.

Also, don't know if it was mentioned elsewhere on VN tonight, but I saw on the ticker during the UK/UL game that Mustain will start next Saturday vs. Utah State.
