Longshots for the fourth scholly this year.

I don't follow this like a lot of you do. I know Pinkston is possibly still in play, and some people bring up Selby, but who else is out there we might be interested in using the fourth scholarship on? Do we go JUCO again possibly?

I'm not sure about any Juco prospects we might some how pull of a miracle though and get Selby or C.JM Leslie.who knows....

I think we get Pinkston. He was already leaning our way, and now the staff can focus on him til the spring. Plus, Harris will be in his ear helping CBP out. Add Pink and we have a sick team for the future, depending on how long some of these guys stick around. If we take another, it would be a Selby-type player, one of those guys you can't say no to, but I'd just as soon save it for '11. This is a great year already! Go Vols!!

I don't think we get Selby or Leslie. Pinkston is still a possibility but that's probably unlikely since he waited to sign. A Juco might happen but I don't even know of any top Juco prospects?

We have more than four open spots. We only have 10 players on scholarship now, not counting Negedu. I doubt he will continue to count towards the limit of 13 if his career is over. So, if we only loses the four seniors, there's seven spots open. There might be a signing limit though. Not sure about that. I am presuming that there will not be another APR hit.

The last thing Pinkston wants is for Tobias to be in his ear about coming to Tennessee.

Remember, McBee will likely be on scholarship starting next season.

Memphis has seven commitments, so there must not be a limit. If we have no APR hit, McBee is on scholarship, and Negedu doesn't count against our limit, we'll still have three spots left. 10 currently - 4 seniors + 3 signees + McBee = 10.

I think Bruce & Co. will look to sign at least 1, possible 2 more recruits in this class.

It's 11 currently because Negedu. The 4 seniors cancel out the 3 signees and McBee. So we will definitely try to sign one more and he will probably be a forward (hopefully Pinkston). That would equal 12. I know our APR took a hit last year and that may still be holding us back from offering a 13th scholarship, but I don't really know how the APR rules work.

Scholarships are year over year. They can sign 4 more probably next year after their studs all leave for the NBA.

Tclowers seems to be the best insider on the board for TN recruiting.

You asked for other names in play, Luke Cothron is a soft verbal to NC State and did not sign in the early signing period.

If Negedu's career is over, I doubt him being on scholarship will count against the limit next year. That wouldn't make sense. Then again, this is the NCAA.

we will give mcbee and bone one and take one more commitment imo

Maybe I'm wrong but I don't think Bone is getting one as of now.

With him being a utility player..I bet he will knowing how Pearl likes players in that role

He can play the 1-3 positions per Pearl

If Bone doesn't get one....we may take 2 more players then to get to 12 on scholly

Leslie, Cothron, and Williams are post players we are still looking at. I don't think we sign but one more---a post player. I doubt that we have any shot at Pinky now.
