Today makes me feel neither better nor worse about the 17th. Both teams showed promise, both showed that they need a lot of work.

As long as no key injury for Florida next week, I like that we are getting another game under our belt with the spread option.

Now that your team can sort of settle into a groove with Clausen, perhaps it is better for UT that it have a weekend off just to get the timing down that much better.

Its anybody's guess.

Todays games meant nothing as to how the UF-UT game will be like. It'll be like last yr..close til the end and a nail biter.

Well said, NC.

I have a feeling neither UF nor UT opened up their playbooks.

The UT/UF game will come down to breaks.

Well to put away biases and loyalties I dont feel very good.

Do you really think UAB is that much better then Wyoming or Boise St.?
Maybe they are a little better, but I don't know.

I came away today thinking one side of our secondary is weak and soft and our offense is running the same plays they have been running the last 5 years. That said, the execution was terrible. So many overthrown balls, dropped balls, interceptions, etc. Our running game was nothing special.

The only real thing that was encouraging was the run defense and pass rush.

I AM NOT IMPRESSED WITH THE PLAY CALLING...TOO MUCH LATERAL PASSING...NOT ENOUGH DOWN FIELD-TYPE PASS PLAYS!!!!!!!

Ten points-First 6 minutes...
Seven points-Last 54 minutes???????

Putting everything aside and I was a betting man I think I would actually go with Tennessee.

I really don't know. My heart says Florida, but my head says that UT has just got to be a whole lot better than we saw yesterday.

I'll think out loud here and see where it goes.

Looking at the post-game stories, you'd have to say edge to Florida BASED on yesterday, ONLY. Leak had 17 pass completions in a row and was 26-34. The team rushed for over almost 100 yards, and that was without Wynn.

But there were break downs all over the place and plays where receivers were standing around trying to get a signal from the coaches as to what route to run.

The defense simply was not challenged. Don't know if they are great or just Wyoming slow (I suspect the latter).

UT offense had flashes of playing tight and then just got all wobbly, seemed out of sync. Your defensive front seven outstanding as always. The backfield? Well, that's right now where I suppose you have to give Florida the edge.

Shock of shocks, UF will probably be better through the air, UT will probably outrush UF. Defensively, right now, I'm calling it a wash.

I wish I could say there was a home field advantage but not so much in recent years versus UT, huh? I do think that UT will have difficulty calling signals at the line as that place is going to be outrageously loud.

Wish I could find tickets. Ebay they are about $300 each and, when you add the $7.5 million in gas from Orlando to Gainesville, guess I'm going to be watching it from home.

Nice breakdown of the game. I am not so sure about our defenses being a wash but from what I saw yesterday I guess that is a fair guess. Really there will be no home field advantage cause both are teams are use to the 100,000 people at these games yelling there head off. Like I said before and will say again it will come down to one thing:

who plays better: Gerald Riggs or Chirs Leak

Difficult to compare. As I said last night, though, in my admittedly uninformed opinion I don't think your offense uses him enough in the open field. When that guy is by himself, one-on-one with an LB, fugedaboutit. But, yesterday, all those up the gut runs I don't think used him right. Need more sweeps and plays designed to isolate him.

Funny thing. Going towards the 17th, both teams' offense seem fairly one-dimensional. If we can somehow slow down Riggs, then you have issues. If you can neutralize Leak to Jackson, same thing for us.

When all is said and done, not so sure the winner is still going to be all that satisfied with their chances down the line. I smell an ugly game.

Yeah I know what you mean. I feel that this game is going to turn out very ugly. I have a feeling something on both sides is going to give. I think maybe our run defense and yalls pass defense. I think its gonna be a close game, but I am not so sure if its going to be a highscoring game or a low scoring game.
