Looking back at recent QB Starters - how will Dobbs stack up?

Legend - Peyton Manning (1994-1997)
The one who won it all - Tee Martin (1998-1999)
Underrated - Casey Clausen (2000-2003)
Experiment gone wrong - Brent Schaeffer (2004)
Solid - Erik Ainge (2004-2007)
Disaster - Rick Clausen (2005)
Lolz - Nick Stephens (2008)
Mixed Bag - Johnathan Crompton (2008-2009)
Disaster #2 - Matt Simms (2010)
Talented but undisciplined - Tyler Bray (2010-2012)
Band-Aid - Justin Worley (2013)
Disaster # 3 - Nathan Peterman (2013)
TBD - Joshua Dobbs (2013)

------------------------

It's comical to look back and see how many misses there are here - Brent Schaeffer, Rick Clausen, Nick Stephens... Peterman. While I love Worley's attitude, determination, and overall character - he's not the answer long-term either.

While Bray was a fantastic talent, I'd argue that the last time the QB position was a team strength was all the way back to Clausen.... 10 years ago. Does Dobbs have the poise that made Iceman so dangerous?

How is Rick a bust? He wasn't a three year starter. Hell, he wasn't even a one year starter. He never panned out because he never had an opportunity too.

Rick Clausen had more significant wins than Tyler Bray, just sayin.

Exactly, which is why I wonder why he is labeled as a "disaster". Nobody ever thought he was going to be good, which is why he was never a starter except for when Shaefer and Ainge got hurt, or when Ainge had his sophomore slump. If anyone deserves to be labeled as a disaster, it's Crompton. that 2008 season was miserable to watch because of him.
