Brooklyn Weather Forecast and Conditions Michigan

They certainly wont be racing today and probably not tomorrow. Knowing Nascar though they'll attempt to just get 201 miles in instead of trying to get the whole thing in. I read on another forum that said they would race next Tuesday, 3 days after the Bristol race. Thats probably the stupidest thing Ive ever heard, but they have to get it in sometime because theres no way they can restructure the Chase format.

My posts are legible and are actually filled with some sort of fact of Nascar. Most of your posts are just to criticize others or bashing me. Nice try though, so answer my question! What was that post supposed to mean? Did you just fail to comprehend something as usual

No, you know Nascar, it's all about ratings. They'll milk this thing until 3 or 4. Last I checked the weather was supposed to be 90% tomorrow too. So i guess the cell is speeding up and is moving quicker than anticipated.

the only person failing to comprehend anything is you. i've been right so many times now it's not even fun to argue with you anymore, so i'll just make fun of you. you, fact, and NASCAR are three words i never want to see in the same sentence again.

Michigan could be pushed into the Chase? A senior NASCAR official, speaking on condition of anonymity, told SPEEDTV.com Sunday morning that if the 3M Performance 400 at Michigan International Speedway is totally rained out this week, it could become the final race in the Chase for the NASCAR Nextel Cup. There is a 100% chance of rain today and an 80% chance of rain tomorrow in Michigan, which means the race could be run on Tuesday. But rain is a possibility then, too. “If we absolutely can’t race in Michigan this week, then we're looking at making it the final race in the Chase,” the NASCAR official told SPEEDTV.com. “If we do that, we’d move everything back to where New Hampshire would be the cutoff race to make the Chase.” Given that such a scenario is something NASCAR views as an absolute last resort, every effort will be made to get the race in this week in Michigan, despite the weather challenges. The current schedule calls for NASCAR’s regular season to end in Richmond Sept. 8 and the 10-race, season-ending Chase for the Nextel Cup to begin Sept. 16. in New Hampshire. The Chase is scheduled to end Nov. 18 in Homestead, Fla.(SPEEDtv.com)(8-19-2007)

NASCAR Managing Director of Corporate Communications Ramsey Poston confirmed what was first reported earlier today on SPEEDTV.com: If the race can not be run this week, it will become the final race of the season and run during Thanksgiving weekend. Such a scenario would have profound implication on the Chase for the Nextel Cup, NASCAR’s playoff round that determines the season championship.

“The Chase field is set based on completion of the first 26 events. The Chase is comprised of the final 10 races of the season, so if this race were not to be able to be completed this week, it will be moved to that week of Thanksgiving and would then become the final race of the season,” Poston said.

Yeah really, they'll find someway to get it in even if they have to run Tuesday. Because alot of fans and Loudon and Richmond will be very mad. I guess from now on they'll move one of those earlier open weeks to before the chase starts. Also, wouldn't it be dangerous in November to run 200 mph on a 30 degree track if it starts to freeze or something?

Move it back to Tuesday. What will Kyle Busch do? He's scheduled to practice the truck tomorrow at Bristol from 1-5. Guess they'll have to get a fill in. Reading on other forums, people are saying Nascar should race on rain tires, but am i the only one that don't think they should be racing on rain tires going 200 mph into the corner 3 wide.

Looks like most of the big stuff is out of the way. There should be no problem for Nascar getting this thing in tomorrow. Now, there may be a few rain delays but we'll probably see this thing go the scheduled distance.

i'd say even if it gets to halfway, they won't hang around for another 2-3 hours to dry the track and finish. should be a quick race tommorow as everybody has things to do on Wednesday.

i wonder if anybody flew home today to work in the shop for a few hours and then is flying back tonight or early tommorow.

I read on another forum that someone said that Tony Raines hauler was going back to get the Bristol stuff.

most teams have more than one hauler, so it's business as usual back at the shop loading up for Bristol. however, i could see Hall Of Fame Racing only having one hauler and they are a smaller operation, but i have to think they have two.

besides, they can probably find somebody else to take all their gear and car home anyway.

Looks like we're going to go racing today. A shower or two may interrupt the race, but we should have no problem getting 101 in.
