Police say the arrest came after an investigation on Monday revealed "suspicious circumstances of a miscarriage." Investigators estimate the fetus was in its 13th week.

WTF??????!!!!!

1. It is not ok to kill an unborn child? Probably not, if you are not a doctor.

2. In charging the father is not the state admitting that there is a life being taken?

I'm guessing that since there are suspicions surrounding the "miscarriage", it is not ok.

You will have to explain how an unlicensed individual in some way facilitating a miscarriage in the second trimester and being charged for it is irony.

What is the difference in this and a doctor performing an abortion? If it's not a human life than it should not matter who destroys it.

edit: really man? I mean, you don't see the difference in a licensed and trained doctor performing and operation and this?

Further, if you will reread my post, I think you missed a couple of key words in there, like "second trimester." An abortion doctor wouldn't even perform this procedure.

No I don't see a difference. If you take a life you are taking a life. No difference. Another example how was Scott Peterson charged with the murder of 2 people, but if Lacy Peterson had an abortion well that is ok.

Have you ever heard of Tiller?

Tiller's right to life, guaranteed to him by the Declaration of Independence, was violated.

That is right. While I think he was evil and sick, I do not support his murder. He would have been judged eventually for his actions.

Good job avoiding my point

First charge him with performing without a license

Second you dont know what the hell u talk about!!!

"second trimester."

New York Abortion is able to offer patients the convenience of completing a second trimester abortion, up to 19 weeks of pregnancy, in just one day. Patients who are 20-24 weeks of pregnancy require a two day procedure.

Abortion clinic -- second trimester abortion services

Read that big boy...up to 24 weeks!!!!

i was wrong about abortion law, sue me.

Doesn't change my original point, this isn't irony. The man should be charged with something, and in this case it is practicing medicine without a license. They can charge him with murder all they want if the woman didn't want the pregnancy terminated. We'll see how this shakes out in court.

And if you want to PM me calling me uninformed, please make sure you spell it right. I thought I was being messaged by a retarded fifth grader.

Also, you do realize that you were wrong, too? This case is in California, not New York. I took the opportunity to educate myself further. You should do the same.

Being charged with a crime is a far different standard than being punished for said crime.
