Losing recruits

seems like another one gets away everday. and we are losing ones that have already committed too. whats going on. started good and now its getting bad, it seems. what do u guys think?

pat turner. hayes and cox and going junior college. probably lose phillips. i was just speculating though.

Whoa re we losing....Calm down and breathe. We may lose Eugene Hayes, but that was a surprise to begin with. Besides, he isn't going to qualify. Don't worry about Todd Cox, he just got bored. Tennessee coaches will firm that up this week when they drop in to see him. He isn't going to qualify either though. We lost Oher, which hurt, but he lives with an Ole Miss family. His guardian played BB for Ole Miss and they offered his head coach a coaching position at Ole Miss. Losing Turner was really disappointing but I don't think that ones over yet. He will likely be in Knoxville next week for another visit. I think we still get Slick Shelly,Chris Scott and a few other. We're fine...relax. This is a good year for Tennessee recruiting.

Turner never gave us a commitment in the first place did he? He wasn't ours to lose.

I certainly liked the looks of Slick and I am certainly in favor of breathing!!! Sounds like Turner may still be influenced by his family?

I was led to believe that most of the recruits who actually committed to UT did and that all the others were just "leaning toward" UT. Is that correct?

thats correct....the past week has been nothing but gossip and rumors

yes and lets not forget phillips, we get phillips that will go along way for our secondary.

How can we possibly make this recruiting season bad if we try. Yes some folks always view the glass half empty.

Let's review:

1. We are almost at our max on available ships to offer.

2. We are ranked anywhere from 1 to 3 on everybody's board to date.

3. We have filled our needs almost perfectly, possibly a little soft yet at DB.

4. Only a couple of our verbals seem to be wishy washy at best, just
scoping out their options at worst.

5. Phil always pulls in 1 or 2 big surprises on signing day.

Now, tell me again how this could be viewed badly.

We are in the best recruiting season we've had in 5 years.

Rejoice!!!!

We don't get 'em all. I trust the staff to fill the need even if we don't get him.
