Please give input on the pro's and cons of parking in Lot 14 for football. How close to stadium and tailgating options? Any info is helpful. Considering a pass there this season.

Is that the one by the softball stadium?

If it is, I'd say tailgating might be decent given the close proximity to the motor homes.

Fairly straight walk to the stadium, not exactly close though.

Not trying to high jack the thread, but was wondering if anyone knows the rules for handicap parking at games??

My father in law would really like to go to a game this year but is handicapped and uses a cane, he has very bad knees that can't be operated on.

Any help appreciated! :hi:

I would call the ticket office, I know they have elevators for handicapped.

might even beable to get a parking pass to get close to the stadium, good luck.

I would call the ticket office. Let them know your situation. I know at Raymond James Stadium they're very easy to work with in these cases.

Unless it's changed since about 2011, anyone can use the elevator to get to their seats that's located inside at Gate 21.

Was wondering about if there are handicapped parking areas for games?? Do you need to buy a HC parking pass?

Getting IN the stadium shouldn't be too much a problem, its the getting him TO the stadium??

:hi:Accessible Parking for Tennessee Fund Donors

In order to request accessible parking, you must be a current Tennessee Fund donor with season tickets. If you do not meet these requirements, you may request accessible parking through the University of Tennessee Parking and Transit Services. If you are requesting accessible parking, this cannot be completed online. To apply for accessible parking, please attach a photocopy of your current state handicap placard or license plate record with your parking application and mail to the Tennessee Fund office via the return envelope you received with your parking application. We are unable to process your request if your placard is expired. Please write your name on the photocopy of your handicap placard. Accessible parking is free of charge under State of Tennessee guidelines and is reassigned each season according to Tennessee Fund giving level and rank.

I parked there for 2 seasons but moved back to the Locust St Garage because I find it easier to get out of after games.

You used to be able to take the train from the lot to just outside of TBA but they discountined that so now you'll have to walk along Neyland Drive. Also there's a KUB treatment plant right beside and it definately has a strong odor.

It's very easy to get into before games and decent to get out of after games. You will be sitting on Neyland Drive for awhile though, and you're only allowed to turn right out of the lot after the games.

At all games I've attended Knoxville PD was eager to assist those with handicap placards getting to a drop off point by the main gate.

I wouldn't hold your breath on that this year.

I had Lot 30A passes for 3 games last year and they were all over us trying to get to that lot 4.5 hours before kickoff. They were guarding the roads closest to the stadium like they led to Y-12, regardless any handicap tags.
