Say they can't believe a lowly Louisville could keep a coach from going to an 'SEC Power'. Also can't believe how low Tennessee has sank to the point that no one wants to go there.

Check out their Scout forum.

Laugh back at them when they wonder where their money went.

The fact is he used UT to up his contract in Louisville to more money. He is not worth 3.5 Million + at this point. He is an unknown quantity.

UT would be best off to Hire Phillip Fulmer back, A Known Quality, fire Sal, Keep Jim Chaney and hire a new Defensive Coordinator.

However, that probably won't happen. We will give some unknown deal a God awful amount of money on a chance it'll turn out good with an even more unfavorable buyout to the University and the chances are high we'll be in the same mess 3 years from now.

They could have really laughed if Strong went to UT and then they hired Fulmer for half what they gave Strong. Truth is UT dodged a dam bullet with that freakin counter offer bs.

I can't believe some people had a hard on for a 3 year coach with a 24 - 15 record in the Big East.

We will be better with whowever we get.

Though I am embarrassed at our ineptness, If the numbers being thrown around for Strong are true, then they are just as much a laughing stock as us. But yes, we are a laughing stock....

I gotta say, I was a bit in shock at the numbers UT was reportedly offering. If it was truly $3.5-3.75 mil, I don't think he is worth that by a long shot.

We have to do something, soon. This is starting to look bad....
Though if you make a big hire everyone will quickly forget (See: Saban).

Let them laugh. UofL is the school that ponied up the money to keep their coach in a place that has lower expectations.

They should be laughing. They kept the man who built their program back after taking over from their version of Dooley.

After this, I would definitely want Jurich as our athletic director. Decisive leadership personified.

They'll be laughing for a long, long time...especially in the anti-football conference they are heading towards.

When you have a coach you appreciate and possess the means to keep him, then you are foolish not to do everything in your power to keep that man in town.
