Louisville's Trinity High Plays (and Absolutely Destroys) Two Tn. High School Powers

Who recruits Louisville? I suppose Notre Dame gets the best picks since Trinity is a Catholic high school.

That school is loaded with D1 talent. Maxpreps currently has them ranked #3 high school team in the nation. They also have Maryville ranked #8.

I grew up in Lville - they have a really good program but they are not loaded with D1 talent - may have a player a year that is a serious D1 prospect - lot of good players though, just not a lot of elite talent in KY as a whole

let me rephrase - they may have more than 1 go D1 - I meant to a good D1 school (ie UT caliber)

I personally want to see Signal Mtn face Maryville I think it would be a great game and Signal may be good enough may be good enough to beat them. I'm telling you they are a good team and have atheletes. I'm going ahead and picking them to win state again 2 times in 3 years existence

Both of my brother-in-laws played @ Trinity. They're good every year. I'd like to see them play Maryville. KY 6A champ vs TN 6A champ.

Nope. Haven't seen a dominate presence by any one school. U of L and UK are obviously at the top of the list for some kids. The catholic school system starts them young and it's a big deal in Louisville...you can thank the $h!++ÂĄ public school system for Trinity and St X to cherry pick the best athletes.

I never saw that they did. I'm not sure what there reasoning is, as to why. They can play good ball. I think they are class 2a. May be wrong but I think thats class they won state in last year. They only had 1 senior I know of last year and that was there running back I believe.Where did you here they turned Alcoa down?

Top area teams take steps to avoid football powerhouse Alcoa | timesfreepress.com

To quote Singal Mountain's head coach -

“I’m not stupid. To have a shot of winning a state championship we knew we had to take a different route that didn’t include playing Alcoa,” said head coach Bill Price.

Trinity would destroy maryville. Trinity has several D1 guys on the team. Whoever says they don't hasn't seen them play this year.

Yeah, I don't really follow high school football. Just popped in out of boredom, but I just saw that rivals or somebody had them ranked in the 80s. That sounds more reasonable.

I haven't seen Trinity play but Maryville is not nearly as good as they usually are.
