I just love how she manages a game! I love how she brings fire and passion to the huddle with a spike of her clipboard! I love how she always gets every ounce of grit and effort out of her team! I love how she has installed an offensive system that can score 18 points in a half! She's been working on that offense all season...and we must give her credit for the fruits of her brilliant labor! I love how mentally tough they have become while encountering so much adversity in this unbelievably challenging journey to the depths of the SEC. She absolutely deserves another raise! I truly believe she deserves SEC Coach Of The Year for achieving so much with a stable of uninspiring, overrated malcontents! Give this woman another raise...please! Give her credit for developing team chemistry very early with that memorable trip to Italy! After all, the team that stinks together...sinks together! Give her credit for "The Program" which took a soft, lethargic group of physical specimens and turned them into Marine quality warriors! And last, but not least, give her credit for "whistling" through the cemetery as this mortally wounded edition of Lady Vols basketball gasps for its last breath. Sure hope she gets invited back next season for an encore! If only Dave Hart can keep other, more desperate programs from hiring her away! Give her a raise...now!

I don't think she gets fired this season. She'll get next season to atone for it. Potentially, Tennessee could spend the entire next season unranked. I wouldn't be surprised to see transfers, and they will be the players that Tennessee can least afford to lose. She should get Das Boot by the end of the 2017, so hopefully that will allow for a program turnaround by 2020 or so.

I can't believe that how quickly things fell apart for the program. All it took was one season...

You forgot to mention her stylish, trend-setting wardrobe. The red carpet is waiting.

^ why wait? If you have a candidate in mind, go ahead and make the change once the year is over.

If Derrick Dooley taught Tennessee anything, it's that just because you worked for the master, that doesn't make you the master. Sadly, the same can be said of HW. Coach PS last couple years weren't marks of excellence, but we have gotten progressively worse since her retirement. CHW deserves to leave with dignity for all the years she devoted to the program, but leave she must.

You're exactly right, IMO. It looks like a few of the players have already decided to transfer and just want the season to be over. Bet Carter won't be one of them. It could get a lot worse.

I don't think the AD will ever spend the money to buy out her contract. He will wait for it to expire and then not renew. He doesn't care enough about women's sports to spend the money.

Bet Carter won't be one of them.

There's always a chance she decides to graduate and move on, but unfortunately I doubt it. Seems she wants to play basketball, and since she has zero chance in hell of playing in the WNBA, this is it for her.

wow. a new low. holly has her work cut out for her. she has lost this team. she has no control, she's outnumbered. i'm curious to see how her and the team responds. hmmm

I back Pat and roll with Holly as long as she is the coach of the Lady Vols. She is still one of us. She's doing a ****ty job, but she is still one of us!

Go Lady Vols.

Here's now it goes for us: Warlick apparently has Russell in the game in the last seconds for defense, when we've got a 3 point lead. Yet when the LSU guard drives the court and makes a layup to pull them to within one, where is Russell? She's not where she should have been--unless her mark was a three-point threat, which I doubt. We have no one in the paint, the LSU player has an uncontested layup--and then Russell, no help on the layup, has to go to the line after a weird foul call. She could have won the game with 2 makes, but instead misses both, another freakish foul and we lose. And no timeouts left. I don't blame Warlick for not having a TO left at the point: I think she took her last one with 10 or so second left, so that is defensible. Nothing else about this season is, however.

Carter and Reynolds are the worse guards ever for our program. Hello look at our record.

I would even play them anymore, ill go all forwards....

Nice game Diamond!

Carter might surprise you if she played for a better coach.

I would be willing to say that for Cooper, Reynolds and Middleton, but not Carter. She's not a competitor, and that's something you can't teach.

She's easily the worst starting guard for the LVs I've seen in 20 years, but yet she continues to be rewarded with major minutes. She must have some sweet blackmail material on Holly or something.

Bad comparison. Dooley had a resume and it sucked, big time. Other than that, all he had was daddy's name. It took a world class idiot to hire him, and unfortunately, we had one as A.D.

But even after giving up the layup and missing two FTs, Tennessee was still ahead...until Andraya Carter gave the game to LSU.

I hope Holly resigns. She has ruined the Lady Vols. I wanted her to succeed. Until this season I still had hope for her development as a head coach. But she isn't a good head coach. And it's not right for the players nor the program Pat built to have an inept head coach.

Yes Pat picked her as the successor. Pat Summitt would also have the courage to admit her mistake and make changes if she were able. She would do what was best for the team even if it was hard to do. She removed herself and heaven knows how hard that was.

Well, actually, Pat didn't remove herself. Hart informed her that it was time for her to retire. Not trying to start a fight or say it was right or wrong, just trying to be historically accurate.

Holly has emphatically said she isn't resigning. As long as she can continue to cash those checks, I believe her....

Why should she? Sure, she may suck as a coach and has probably destroyed the program, but she gets $600k/year. She's not gonna sniff that money anywhere else. Can't say I blame her for hanging on until the bitter end.
