I think giving this team less time off helps us in the long run. We're a streaky team who never does well when given extra days off (See last year)

I also think an extra win (Getting us to an even 20) looks much better on paper for the committee, even if we are already in.

Lets remind these SEC teams that this is our state and paint Nashville ORANGE. V, B!!!!

I agree. IMO, we need more numbers in the win column. I don't trust us with a lot of time between games. That's exactly why I want a five seed. One bye is plenty.

Could not have asked for a better bracket for the vols! we can win no matter who we play. I hope Georgia runs the tournament and we stop em dead and get revenge!!! GBO!

Definitely the best draw we could have gotten as the 5 seed. Maybe Mississippi State will beat South Carolina. I like our chances of making it to Saturday

I know Kentucky is not as good this year. But their fans will buy up alot of tickets. There will be alot of blue in Nashville. Hope they get beat their first game though. :pepper:

One at a time - play each one like it's your last chance to wear the orange.

There's no hill to climb now. They climbed them. Now it's time to cease the momentum to get a good seed in the dance.

With our history in the SEC tournament, we just need to worry about winning one game at a time.

Draw looks like USC, then Bama, then UF to get to finals. I just hope we win at least one. I think that should get us in.

This is without a doubt the best draw possible for us. Here are the 2 main reasons, for me:

1. We avoided A&M in our first game. I know they suck, but they scare the **** out of me for whatever reason. They are good enough to beat anyone IMO.

2. We got the best possible quarterfinal matchup. Anyone who doesn't think Bama is the easiest matchup of the top 4 is fooling himself.

However, all that said, as a fan I refuse to look past Thursday. Just get that win. Just get that damn win first, and then we'll talk about our draw. Losing that one could knock us out IMO, and TooLegit2Quit is exactly right when he says Thursday won't be easy. It never is. Ever. Each of these teams is playing for its season, just like we are. We are more than capable of losing that first game (not saying I think we will), just like we are capable of winning that whole thing. I ain't taking **** for granted. Just win on Thursday.

That's my long-winded assessment of our draw. Go Vols!
