I think there better then there statistics even the defense as a whole. Oregon numbers against us inflated a lot of our defensive stats. THey have played really well against some good teams. THey have kept us in some games to give our offense a shot.

We have a lot less talent than we had last year. But this team plays better because of the coaches. Just think where we will be when Butch gets all this new talent in here.

Defensive speed is still a huge problem, but we hardly have any missed assignments, unlike last year, where we were lucky to have only ONE missed assignment on EVERY play.

Says as much about the QB pressure as it does the DBs. Front 4 have been impressive

It shows what a pathetic defensive coordinator we had last year. We weren't going to be good--but we could have won a couple of SEC games last year with just a mediocre defense instead of the disastrously bad unit we had.
