Oh, someone remembers the #22 car! He was one of my favorites before Richard Petty. Think he drove Fords mostly. Do you remember Joe Weatherly?

Yes, I remember Joe W. :)

Roberts was killed in a fire-crash at Charlotte with Junior Johnson and Ned Jarrett. I heard Jarrett describe the incident when he was a tv man. Pretty sad.

Yes, you're right, he drove for Holman-Moody Ford. He also drove a Pontiac in 62.

Those were the days of REAL NASCAR -- not today's watered-down PARITY racing as adminstered by the "France Kids". Glad I was able to see the real deal. :)
