I have been to many other fan sites and (all bias aside) VN is by far the best.

Well, to be fair the linked site runs the same forum scripts as VN, only a later version. When VBulletin gives official end-of-life to the 3.x series (coming soon) then there will be no more security updates or patches.

So unless you are complaining about the colors, ad placement, or table rendering in an outdated browser, VN will most likely be there soon.

The registration reminder on the linked site is gaudy and should go, at least on a page refresh.

Doubtful. Volnation has people that have graduated from college..not just people that have watched a college play.

Doubt it. It's a professionally run site, by professionals who know their shiz. If they don't have the motivation or "know how" to improve a platform, thats their problem.

I think the VN crew will put together a stellar look for 4.0 and better VB version. It can be done just takes a little work.

Up until about two months ago, that site was nothing but a crimson colored VN clone. They're not doing too well with the updated version of it. I think we all have confidence that Freak will do a better job when/if the time comes to have to change it up.

I've no doubt of this. Just pointing out that VBulletin is one of the most used forum packages on the interwebs, and saying one site looks like ass just because of different colors and a newer version of the forum script is, well, a bit lame. And yes, 4.x is a new beast entirely, particularly when styles and mods come to play.

I think Freak most likely will do a better job. Contrary to how it might seem, I think VN is among the top VB sites I have ever seen, and I've seen a lot of them. VN is the only college football site I post on, for that matter. No offense to VN was intended by my post. :hi:
