Yeah I saw a link earlier somewhere that said BOTH AD's were asking them to move it. It had to do with the television contracts, which would basiclly mean ESPN either agreeing to play it earlier instead of a Big10 game, or giving the game to CBS, and CBS giving them something later on.

We will have to wait and see. I am sure the networks want to see what happens the next two weekends with Arizona St and Florida first.

Hey .. I'm yet to hear Skip(A.D.) speak about moving the game. Last report I read CBS didn't want to show favortism to UT by showing them 2 weeks in a row.
And as of tomorrow there will be no more evacuees housed at LSU.
But as far as finding a hotel I honestly think in almost 3 weeks you shouldn't have trouble finding a hotel because of the evacuees. Most of them staying in Hotels are looking for a more permanent residince.

Your best bet is staying off of College Dr. on Constitution Ave. It's maybe 3 or 4 miles from campus, and there are a few hotels strung together. Embassy Suites, Holiday Inn Express, Radisson, Crown Sterling Suites, and the Hilton and Marriot and Best Western are right around the corner.

Thanks. I have reservations. I haven't heard that my hotel is not going to honor them. I am gonna wait until late next week to call them and see what they say.

Also, I meant both AD's were asking to move the TIME of the game, not the location. Apparently Skip thought it was a good idea to play it earlier too.

Got me... no telling what's going on anymore. Would love for it to be a night game though. Last time UT brought so many fans and tailgating all day for our first home game would be nice. Plus ya know the story says we play better at Death Valley at night

I'm glad it's gonna be down there, and I think I would rather expierence it at night too. I love the atmospheres College Football provide us as fans.

KNOXVILLE — Tennessee's Sept. 24 football game with LSU will likely stay in Baton Rouge, UT Athletics Director Mike Hamilton said yesterday.
Hamilton has had multiple conversations with LSU officials and Southeastern Conference representatives the last few days and he said that all efforts are being pointed toward keeping the game at LSU.
"Pending any unforeseen circumstances, I don't anticipate that changing," Hamilton said.
LSU moved its game with Arizona State this weekend to Tempe, Ariz., because the LSU campus is still being used as a haven for those affected by Hurricane Katrina. The Tigers also postponed their season opener against North Texas because of the storm.
Hamilton has requested that the game be played during the day, and he said LSU Athletics Director Skip Bertman seems to be on board with that idea. For that to happen, ESPN would have to agree to let CBS broadcast the game.
The LSU-Tennessee game is scheduled for either 6 or 6:45 p.m. on ESPN.
"Playing it in the day would allow fans to get there and then drive wherever they needed to drive to find a hotel room," Hamilton said.
The main issue is a lack of hotel rooms in the Baton Rouge area because hurricane evacuees can't be displaced by anyone with previous reservations.
Hamilton said the Vols still plan to go to Baton Rouge on Friday as scheduled, although the official UT travel party may be smaller than usual. Hamilton said UT has sold its allotment of 7,000 tickets for the game.

Better check with your hotel. The Louisana Govenor has mandated that no one can displace/take a room from a survivor or relief worker.
