Just finished watching LSU lose to Cincinnati in a high school gym in Las Vegas. Two observations I made about the Tigers. First, Tasmin Mitchell may have gotten all the accolades coming out of high school, but from what I saw the last two days, Tyrus Thomas is LSU's best freshman. Second, if that assemblage of talent doesn't run away with the SEC West, I'll change my opinion and agree with JMXVol that John Brady can't coach. If they get just reasonable improvement over the course of the year, they should win the West by 2+ games.

does LSU still have that post player they had last year, he was a freshman last year they called him Baby Shaq, did he go pro or what?

He's still there...I don't ever remember him being much of an impact last year in games that mattered. He gets frustrated because he doesn't get calls

I brag about Toni Harris, Slay, Victor, Yarbrough, Haislip, Higgins, and CJ Black still....but that was only like 5 years ago

Slay was a baller in his days at Rocky Top. Always hated having to play those teams. It definitely made the rivalry more interesting.

Thinking about the SEC West makes me want to take a nap.

96 I've watched Arkansas a couple times and I'd say they have a good shot of taking out LSU in the West.

Just thought I'd revive this thread. Looks like I at least had a decent read on LSU. Much better than I did on George Mason.
