LSU just lost one of their most experienced QBs, Myles Brennan, electing to move on with his life.
He had been competing for starting spot, but may have seen the writing on the wall that they wanted to go with more mobile guy (probably Daniels, transfer from Ariz. State). This would stem partly from style preference of the new OC from Cincinnati, and partly from having a newly cobbled together OL.
Brennan had had a few big passing games over the years, but had to overcome multple significant injuries.
This leaves LSU with Daniels, Nussmeier, and true freshman Howard
