Why are they getting open vs GA DBs so much easier than our receivers did? We were getting wide open vs other teams all year, including LSU and Bama, but GAs presumably great lockdown corners were playing press man and shutting em down. So why are LSU receivers making these big plays downfield and putting 30 pts up when we could barely get 13? Just trying to understand this.

Our receivers couldn't get off of press coverages. I don't know why.

Georgia got called for several pass interference and holds against our receivers but it was a calculated risk that worked out for them because there were a ton more that weren’t called.

When Nussmierer came in the LSU receivers weren’t always open, but the QB would make the throw anyway allowing their receivers to make a play. Because our guys were not as wide open as usual, Hooker was way too hesitant to pull the trigger and many times held the ball too long.

Georgia viewed us as their biggest threat this season. Kirby took a page out Saban’s book and started prepping for us during summer camp and once a week during the season. They were ready. They had 2 weeks to prepare for LSU.

I could see that.. and in the meantime, we saw at least five big threat teams to prep for in summer camp 😂 I’m still very proud of our guys and what they accomplished this season.. that was a rough schedule

UGA had a pretty weak schedule, especially w/ Auburn being so bad. Next years is even weaker since they had to cancel the Oklahoma game.

Their Oline and backs handle the blitzes better than ours. I know, we were playing in the rain and a wet field, but Hooker was fighting for his life against their rush.

Georgia was rushing 3 most of the time. They weren't worried about Garrett Nussmeier running on them like Daniels. He made some throws. Kirby didn't give a squat, 3 score win.

Hendon missed open receivers 3 times!

They weren't playing a lot of straight man today. Also, your offense starts with the run. Spread the field. Show pass. Hand the ball off. That didnt work vs Georgia. Every play vs UT was press man to man coverage. The DBs were hammering your wrs at the snap.

They simply arent physical enough. Hyatt lacks size and strength and Tillman has the size but isnt terribly fast. Same with Bru. As crazy as it sounds, we'll need an upgrade at WR moving forward.

Pass protection. Uga didn’t blitz. So they actually had time to get open. That simple.

Tillman dominated them last year. I think him not being 100% and the rain had a lot to do with him not getting open consistently that game.

If Hendon doesn’t overthrow 2 easy tds, that game turns out very different and he wins the Heisman easily.

I was kinda shocked Kirby admitted that on live TV like he did. Speaks volumes to what he thought of us, so it was a compliment and testament to what we were doing. Still crazy to hear him say it out loud.

The o-line played like crap against GA and hooker was running scared behind them. That’s not a good combs for success in the passing game.

There's no way to factor in why Hooker missed receivers...for example, if Georgia was covering our receivers closer than other teams we've played, maybe he threw it a bit farther out ahead hoping to avoid an int. If you look at the games where we Hooker hit Hiatt and others, most of the time they were wide open and he put the ball in the right spot. A wide open receiver is different than one being hugged by a defensive back
