I can't believe the world has come to this--I'm going to be pulling for South Carolina in a basketball game. Friend in college was such a rabid SC fan that I swore that I would never pull for them in a game. Ah, well: Politics and basketball seedings make for strange bedfellows!

It's going to the wire. LSU by one with 1:19 to go. SC just missed and LSU has the ball.

I bet our team is watching this game right now.

Congrats Atreus, too bad Ole Miss is so terrible this year.

Not much we can complain about. We lost on Saturday and we lost to LSU head to head.

Atreus, if any team deserves the crown it is LSU (as much as I hate admitting it)

Davis is a monster and you closed out the championship without Thomas.

Congrats....but still USC is a bunch of buffoons, nice hair balkman.

USC has some work to do if they are going to get a shot at defending that NIT Championship.

Thanks. Class, as usual, from the volnation. Don't discount Ole Miss, tho. If you can lose to arkansas, we can lose to Ole Miss.

No, but LSU has a maddening capability to beat or lose to any team in the nation. I guess I don't like discounting anyone until the clock reads 00:01 while we're ahead by 90.

Concerning Arkansas, the ESPN web site has a picture of the Tennessee/Arkansas game. Basically says Arkansas has gone from Bubble team to the buzz team.

LSU is scary. They could make a serious run in the Big Dance. Or they could go out in the first round - kind of a Florida situation. I have this sneaking suspicion, though, that overall, the six teams that I believe will get into the Dance from the SEC (Tennessee, Kentucky, Florida, LSU, Arkansas, Alabama, although Kentucky can certainly play their way right out of it with losses to UT and Florida) are going to exceed expectations.. perhaps 3 teams in the Sweet 16, and dare I say, 2 in the Elite 8?

Congrats to the Bayou Bengals. Maybe we'll meet again in the SEC tourney.
