NCAA: Lute Olson's comments 'misleading' - College Basketball Nation Blog - ESPN

Lute Olson lied to the NCAA and then refused to speak to them when they wanted to investigate further.

Calhoun

UCONN MEN'S HOOPS: Calhoun admits investigation has taken its toll emotionally - The Middletown Press : Serving Middletown, CT

Adamant he is not a cheater. Would not be viewed by the NCAA as a cooperative guy. For those who think taking away 1.5 million from Pearl is not a big deal, imagine what he would have done if you tried to take a million dollars from him? hahahahah

Sources: NCAA investigating Baylor men's basketball program - CBK News | FOX Sports on MSN

Scott Drew at Baylor? Do you think he will speak frankly with the NCAA or do you think he will stonewall?

If the NCAA wants coaches to be honest with them, they will have to give something to Pearl for coming back and admitting he lied before they proved it. If they do not do that, they cannot expect anything different than guys lawyering up, lying and shutting the NCAA out at every turn. Absent other coaches snitching from inside, there is very little the NCAA can find in their "investigations."

I expect the NCAA to give credit to Pearl for coming clean, to UT for punishing him severely and to Slive (the former head of an NCAA infractions committee) for banning him for 8 games.

disagree my friend. NCAA is going to add on to what UT and the SEC have done already.. don't know how bad but sanctions are coming is what I hear

Yup, Bruce Pearl's conscience ate at him. That's why he came back...two months after the fact.

Arguably biggest win for ut bball reg season history and this guy comes on here to argue this.

How has he not been banned for trolling?

You know what's hilarious? He gets mad when people don't talk basketball. Yet he talks about the off-court stuff more than anyone.

When have I said people cannot talk about the off court stuff?

I read about Wright's comments and was happy.

I also said this was a big win for our program for recruiting etc, and I predicted we would win and Harris and Williams would play very well.

It is not as big to win this game as it was to beat #1 Memphis. May not have been as big for the program as last years win over Kansas.

Very big win, very great time. Not the biggest win in history by any stretch. Most of us will always say the biggest regular season win has to be a beatdown of a ranked UK team.

How many games are we going to win when TH and BW both don't play well? I believe you predicted BW to have 20/10, not just "play well."

I said JZ that the media would enjoy writing up two New York area guys going to the garden and playing well.

Brian Williams having this stat line:
B. Williams, C 25 5-8 2-4 7 2 4 12
to go with T Harris:
T. Harris, F 30 5-10 4-8 9 0 2 15

Was not what the media or even people on this board were predicting. If Big Brian had not had some foul trouble, a double double was in reach. If Harris and Williams played as much time as Pena did for Villanova? 17 or 18 and 10 for Harris and 18 and 10 for Big Brian.

Brian Williams would have had a career night if he had not played just 25 minutes due to foul trouble. He played 33 against Michigan State last year.

He is ready to be a guy who can score because he does not freak out around the basket like he has for much of his career.

So he's played over 30 minutes maybe once in his career? 25 is basically the typical minutes he plays, maybe even a little more than average.

Another incredibly informative post. If that means it was laced with useless links and a broad opinion at the end. What's new?
Open-ended opinion- I expect the volnation members to give no credit to MHF for posting links, to worthless information.

Please keep bringing us inside information about basketball "counselers" and their work talking down McRae who is angry about his lack of PT over Hopson and Tatum.

See what had happened was.... he made predictions so he could write a novel. Whether he is correct in these said predictions does not matter because he will turn it around in the end to fit his original statement.

Please keep bringing us post filled with 1000 words, tons of links, predictions, and incorrect statements. <3

All you're hearing so far is rumor and conjecture from the spiteful media, not from the ncaa. Let's just all wait and see how this plays out.

I'd like to think you are right, but I find that concept to be a little comical . . . the idea that a governing body should go easy on someone that lies and then comes clean once they see that their goose is cooked.

Why is having a bar-b-q at your home so much worse than bribing a school for money to get a scholarship? and the player continues to play!!! (sec championship).
