Anyone watching the Bowl Game see him reach to grab a live ball. Poor guy he will never live that down. :)

i think it was obvious on the replay that he didn't touch it, but ... i guess you gotta call for something for being a dumbass and interfering with the game and a live ball..

Looked like his thumb nicked it to me. I don't have hi-def, though. I feel sorry for the kid. It reminds me of that scene in Radio, where the coach calls a reverse, and Radio screams out "reverse! reverse!" So the defense hears him and stuffs it. Poor guy- he just didn't know any better.

it reminded me of a friend of mine that started refing High School football. I think he was at Red Boiling Springs or some where refing when a pass came his way over his head. He reached up and grabbed it out of instinct. He said he felt like diggin a hole right there. But had to finish the game. We still ride him about that.

It isn't like this decided the outcome of the game. I watched about 2 minutes of the late night replay and less than 5 minutes into the game, Texas was already getting sideline warnings. If anything, Mack Brown needs to learn better control of his on field personnel.

I sure don't. The moron shouldn't have been on the field anyway!

I don't think there was sufficient video evidence to reverse the call on the field - fumble recovery.

Is it a penalty for just coming onto the field? There were like 4 guys on the sideline inching forward.

And what the **** was he doing anyway - like waving at the ball or trying to shoo it away? Very strange.

I've never seen Radio, but I love that scene, as shown in the movie trailer, where he's running down the field hollering "don't quit, don't quit." Really inspiring stuff.

At the end of the movie they show some footage of the real Radio. I got the impression that Cuba really made that guy seem much more mentally impaired than he really is.

Yeah, he wasn't nearly the only one who was on the field. Maybe, for a second, he thought he was on the sideline, and the ball had drifted out of bounds.
