Im a freshman at Wabash College, where he has been the head basketball coach for i think 35 years. He played bball, and i believe baseball? back in the day at UT.... during the 60's i believe? Anybody know of him or heard of him? He seems like a really great guy, even though i haven't known him all that long. he is retiring at the end of this season.

i've been a fan of u t sports since 1965 and i've never heard of him. i probably would have heard more of him in basketball, since you don't have as many names to follow. :salute: :salute: :salute:

In the late '60's I had Mac as a graduate assistant to the great Andy Kozar in a PE class. He was very nice but made us run a lot of sprints. He was tall and slender at that time.

still tall and slender. Another interesting fact about the bball team he coaches (not really UT related), Wes Smith, our leading scorer, played on the same high school team as Greg Oden And Mike Conley. Still keeps in close contact with Oden from what i have heard.. just thought that was interesting. Any other interesting things anyone knows about Mac?
