1) To the VolNation for having SO MUCH presence in Norman. The OU crowd was shocked @ the number & noise.
2) To Team 118 for a hard fought game to the end. The better Team won ...but the underdog had them quiet & worried until LATE in the 3rd quarter and had them impressed through the final play.
3). The OU fans were across the board respectful, welcoming, excited to have us here, accommodating, gracious in victory, unbelieveably complementary of our coaching, Team, fans...and most notably excited and wanted to talk about how they were ALL looking forward to coming to Knoxville next year. Although they ALL are worried that after they saw our young Team perform...they in EACH post-game conversation I had said next year will be a different level of game.
4). The experience for me personally was more than I expected. The OU folks I was with HS me in their Club Level which was VERY well presented and executed ('crept for the silly elevator rides to the level which was not well thought out)
5) The campus was nice, "The Corner" area were the campus bars/ restaurants are was close, small , but rrather subdued.
6). We made 3 big play mistakes of forcing opportunities that were not there or not handling opportunities...otherwise we had a chance for greatness last night. Instead, we showed that we are pretty good and getting even better. Can't say we've shown that demonstratively in YEARS.
7). I'm looking forward to when we return the favor next year to OU, and I have a high bar set for how I can host the ones who hosted me. I will be looking for 4 GREAT seat$ in Neyland with Club Acce$$ and will be willing to $pend to return the favor.
8) No bail $ was needed 'cause all but the game outcome was perfect.
